Monitoring and Evaluation of the DRG Funded MDGs projects and programmes in Benue and Abia States

It would be recalled that the Debt Relief Gain (DRG) are funds set aside yearly for implementation of pro-poor projects in communities towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). In order to ensure judicious utilization of these funds managed under the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President (OSSAP) on MDGs, GRACODEV was engaged as a Civil Society Organization to monitor and evaluate implementation of the projects approved and its impact in benefiting communities. GRACODEV conducted M&E in all 21 LGAs of Benue State and the 17 LGAs of Abia State. Projects monitored and assessed include construction of boreholes, classroom blocks, computer centers, supply of classroom books, desks, construction of roads, dams, primary health care centers, installation of transformers, etc. M&E reports were documented and submitted to the national team. GRACODEV monitored the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 awards (both the Quickwins, Conditional Grant Schemes and the Special Projects).
